A one-day workshop – “Aarambh” was organized for entrepreneurship development in sheep-goat and rabbit farming in the country on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar, Malpura (Rajasthan), an institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Dr. O., Joint Secretary (National Livestock Mission), Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, was the chief guest in the workshop. P. Choudhary and as special guests, Dr. Bhavan Singh Rathod, Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Brijmohan Goyal, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Vikram Singh Senior Scientist, Indian Council of Agricultural Research Headquarters, New Delhi, Shri Mukesh Suthar Kaid Foundation, Udaipur, Representatives of banks and other progressive entrepreneurs participated.
The program was presided over by the Institute Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar. The Institute Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar took all the guests present at the workshop and toured the institute’s Dumba sheep sector, rabbit rearing unit, Sirohi goat rearing, Avishan sheep sector. On the occasion of the workshop, various departments of the institute organized sheep for the information of the farmers. Goat and rabbit farming books and folders were also released. On the occasion of the workshop, some progressive startups and delegates were also rewarded by the guests present on the stage. On behalf of the Rajasthan Government, Dr. Vikram Singh addressed the delegates on various technologies in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
